Brindle Historical Society are to visit Quarry Bank Mill, Styal, Cheshire as part of their Programme of Events. The summer outing will be held on Saturday 22nd September 2108. The National Trust property has undergone considerable development in recent years and although the Mill itself is currently closed, from late summer the site will be fully open and will portray a complete industrial community.
Dr David Hunt from the South Ribble Museum & Exhibition Centre will be the guest Speaker at the next Brindle Historical Society Meeting held on the 16th April. His talk, 'Local History from a Balloon', a series of aerial photographs from the 1930's of Preston and surrounding districts. Meeting commences at 7.30 p.m. All welcome.
